Game Development Excuses
Every week I sit down at my desk and promise myself I’m going to start - and finish - a game. Every week I don’t get beyond the basics.
Sometimes I’ll get a small blob moving around the screen, others I’ll end up getting bogged down in trying to create the perfect version of this system or that system, and then give up when progress seems to slow to a crawl. I’ve tried frameworks, and full engines. Unity was my best shot but after a while I got annoyed at my coloured squares and wanted proper art. But as my artistic abilities don’t go beyond a stickman I was out of luck and I stopped.
It’s about time I stopped making excuses.
